Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi, the leader of the Wadani opposition party and the presidential candidate, was born in Hargeisa in 1955. When he completed his primary and secondary education in Burco, Berbera and Hargeisa, he transferred to the famous high school in the city of Sheikh and completed it in 1977. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi, between 1978 and 1981, worked in an organization called Social Development in Mogadishu. From 1981 to 1988, he was a diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of the Somali Embassy in Russia in Moscow.
